Today, we meet Tony Yuen, an experienced JOVI realtor, who demonstrates how you can be successful by building your personal brand and dedication to your business.

When and how did you decide to be a real estate agent?

Prior to becoming a Realtor, I spent the previous decade building a successful business which became a dominant trendsetter in my industry. It also allowed me to cross paths and collaborate with some of the top Realtors in the process.

Seeing an opportunity, I sought to bring the same “game-changing” mentality to real estate. In 2013, I started EMPYR Living to pursue this journey.

How do you specialize?

I specialize in creating success stories. Period.

No core area, because there are no limits of where and how I help clients buy and sell. Residential? Love it. Projects? Absolutely. I have a passion for working with developers at the boutique level because it’s how I approach this business – with focus, flair, and purpose.

How did you decide to join Jovi Realty? What are your business targets?

I was offered an amazing opportunity by the owners of Jovi Realty back in 2018.

Having met with many recruiters from brokerages, Jovi was different.

I appreciated their personal approach. I wasn’t just another agent on their roster. They knew what I wanted to accomplish and opened those doors for me.

My business target is simple. Expansion, in all ways: from elevating the way real estate is marketed, to redefining what a first-class client experience is.

How do you describe yourself as a personality?

Marketing aficionado. Perfectionist.

Whether it’s making a deal, smashing pads at in the kickboxing gym, or rolling on the sweaty jujitsu mats – I love what I do. Passion fuels me, which is why I am able to deliver 110%. Day in, day out.

The foundation of my personal and business success is the same: Collaboration over competition. Creativity over complacency. Most importantly, Relationships are everything.

What do you do in your free time?

Activities (besides working, and working some more…) I spend every free moment with my very patient wife and our 7.5 year old Maltese puppy.

Post workdays, you’ll find me training at some kind of gym – kickboxing, jujitsu, lifting, yoga. I love anything that makes my body ache, and reminds me that I’m not 20 years old anymore.

What is your favourite spot in the Vancouver area? What do you like doing there the most?

Steveston. Steveston, and Steveston.

I live 10 minutes from the Village, where it’s a dog owner’s haven, home to Timothy’s frozen yogurt, G-men Ramen, and the best sushi around. Bonus? Lots of free street parking!

Where is your favourite travel destination?

Italy. I’m a fresh pasta and gelato addict. A close second would be Tokyo.

Anything else you want to add about yourself…

I’m all about quotes, so here’s one I wake up to every day. “BE RELENTLESS”
